²³ Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them. After they all drank from it, ²⁴ he said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many. ²⁵ Amen, I say to you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I shall drink it anew in the kingdom of God.”
